Where did Pilates originate from?

What should I wear for Pilates class?
Comfort and fit depending on your personal preference. Consider wearing a breathable form-fitting top and flexible bottoms to enjoy Pilates reformer at the fullest. Shoes do not matter as O:RIN requires students to wear non-slip socks during Pilates reformer, and at all times.

Through my own fitness journey, I’ve realized that to move effectively is more important than how many kgs you are benching.  I started my fitness career as a yoga teacher and started adding Pilates into my practice.
Pilates has helped me create balance in my body, correcting all the imbalances that we are used to in our everyday life.

This exercise isn’t only for young people. Pilates and Gyrotonic is wonderful for every body of every age. Seniors, in particular, can really see improvement in balance, flexibility, strength and mobility.

For the lowerbody, chair swan (in front) is harder than reformer (behind) because you have to lift your legs against gravity. But the chair makes it easier to lift the upper body because the springs are supporting you.​​​​​​​​
